Cite Kitten does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no cloud services. Your citations, notes, and manuscripts never leave your Mac.

Cite Kitten communicates with exactly one service: the Zotero application running locally on your own computer, over your Mac's internal loopback connection. The only other network requests it can make are downloading the Better BibTeX plugin and, if you choose to set up Word export, the Pandoc converter — both from their official release pages, and only when you click the button that asks for them.
